How do I know if I need a sump pump?
If water collects in your crawl space, basement, or around your foundation during or after rain, you need one. We visit, look at your grading and drainage, and tell you what size pump handles your space and where to put the pit. Some homes here are built low relative to the surrounding ground, and clay soil doesn't absorb water fast, so a pump becomes essential.
What happens if my sump pump fails?
Water backs up into your crawl space or basement, soaks into insulation and framing, and can cause mold and rot. It also washes away under-foundation soil, which can crack your concrete slab or cause settling. A failed pump needs same-day attention. We carry pumps and parts in our truck and can replace yours in one visit.
Why does my sump pump run all the time?
The float switch may be stuck, the pit may be too small for your water volume, or the discharge line may be clogged and backing water into the pit.
